Reviews
Seemed like a nice atmosphere but I was promptly told to leave as I had a dog. Certainly the first pub I've been into which doesn't allow dogs. If they are trying to differentiate themselves by describing themselves as a "dog-free zone" they are going the wrong way about it given around a 1/3 of households in the uk own a dog...
This is a nice neighbourhood pub with a good, buzzy atmosphere. The drinks are fine and apparently you can order in pizzas although we didn't get to do that. One word of warning though - it's really gloomy in the main bar so you have to take care not to walk into something on your way to the garden!
A super little pub, The Bank of Friendship offers a variety of beers from cask and keg. Beer is served with a smile and is both polite and efficient. A great pub
This is the home to the Legend of the Walking Guiness. The Bank of Friendship is a haven of peace and merriment and is much adored by its good humoured patrons. It is also a pub that treats it's regular clientele very well, thanks to its friendly and professional staff. In short, this pub deserves and lives up to its name. It now also features an attractive, spacious and heated outside garden that is even popular in winter!
If you need sustenance while enjoying your evening here, you can order Yard Sale Pizza, or Thai food from Rabiengs, over the road, both of which are delicious.
The Workman's friend by Flann O'Brien
When things go wrong and will not come right,
Though you do the best you can,
When life looks black as the hour of night – A pint of plain is your only man.
When money’s tight and hard to get
And your horse has also ran,
When all you have is a heap of debt –
A pint of plain is your only man.
When health is bad and your heart feels strange,
And your face is pale and wan,
When doctors say you need a change,
A pint of plain is your only man.
When food is scarce and your larder bare
And no rashers grease your pan,
When hunger grows as your meals are rare –
A pint of plain is your only man.
In time of trouble and lousey strife,
You have still got a darlint plan
You still can turn to a brighter life –
A pint of plain is your only man.
May not look like much from the outside but a great pub. Lovely shaded garden (although tables are very small), screens (small) with sport on inside and excellent Yard Sale pizzas available via delivery to the restaurant. Good beer selection too. Shame my mate Danny couldn't handle it.
Great match day pub. Alway well staffed so no big wait to get served. Lots of capacity and they always have gf beer, usually on draft. An real treat for a match going coeliac!
One of the best pubs in North London. A must visit with the added bonus of being able to order Pizza from a banging nearby restaurant!
Garden in summer is the place to be.
Sadly never got the monster munch pizza nevertheless I will be returning soon to test it.
Lovely horse show pub, with proper pub attire (fabric benches and carpet).
Outside is great though a little covered for a summers day.
